Excessive Sweating Under My Arms Bothers Me
Do Other People Have the Same Problem?
This condition, called axillary hyperhidrosis, can start around puberty and last a lifetime. If you want to learn how Dr. Jayne's miraDry treatment can permanently stop underarm sweat from disrupting your life, contact our state-of-the-art Edmond, OK, practice for a consultation. Dr. Jayne welcomes patients throughout the Edmond and Oklahoma City, OK area. Our practice is located about 25 minutes north of Oklahoma City.
What is miraDry and How Does It Work?
First of all, it is important to know that your body has close to four million sweat glands. Of these, only two percent create underarm sweat. But when these sweat glands produce excessive sweating that can not be controlled with an antiperspirant, it may be time to become a miraDry patient at Dr. Jayne's Edmond, OK, medical practice.
- miraDry is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses thermal heat energy to eliminate sweat glands and odor glands that exist under your arms.
- Once these glands are painlessly and safely destroyed, they do not grow back. So you will no longer produce underarm sweat. It's that simple.
- Each miraDry treatment lasts about an hour. Results vary, but just one treatment may stop excessive underarm sweat.
- However, some of Dr. Jayne's patients may need two or three treatments to completely stop excessive underarm sweating.
